Program Structure:
- The Specialty Machine Apprenticeship Program combines practical, on-the-job training with structured classroom education. Apprentices will:
- Duration: Participate in a structured 4-year program.
- On-the-Job Training (OJT): Spend 80% of their time working directly with our experienced machinists and engineers, learning to operate advanced CNC machinery, Mastercam software, and other manufacturing technologies.
- Classroom Education: The remaining 20% will be dedicated to formal education, which includes technical classes in CAD/CAM programming, blueprint reading, machine maintenance, quality assurance, and safety protocols, provided in collaboration with local community colleges or technical institutes.
- Mentorship: Apprentices will be paired with senior machinists who will guide their development, offering valuable insights, troubleshooting techniques, and personalized coaching throughout the program.
Program Phases:
- Introduction (Year 1): Focus on foundational skills such as fundamentals, machine setup, safety, and basic machining operations.
- Intermediate Training (Year 2-3): Apprentices advance to more complex tasks, including CNC programming, precision measuring, and quality assurance.
- Advanced Specialization (Year 4): Apprentices develop expertise in specialized areas, such as multi-axis machining, machine maintenance, and process optimization, leading to higher-level certifications and job readiness.
